Dear Mr. Cole:

Over the past few weeks we have been evaluating a relatively new soil treatment technology know as Hydrogen Acceleration. The specific process system is known commercially as the “HydroPro Treatment System”.

Various concentrations of hydrocarbon-contaminated soil were analyzed pre and post treatment for a variety of parameters.

Multiple bench tests were conducted utilizing potassium permanganate and hydrogen peroxide in various concentrations. Also variations in reactor water were utilized.

Conclusive results of the testing, where the Hydro-Pro process was utilized, showed there were significant reductions in the TRPH parameters as well as most all of the BTEX analytes. The oxidizing ability of the reactor also reduced the metal values when present. Optimum results were produced when both the oxidizers and reactor water was utilized.

Results of the testing were compared to the Fla. Department of Environmental Protection Petroleum Cleanup Criteria under rule 62-777, F.A.C. (Florida Administrative Code).

Treated soil that meets or exceeds this criterion may be disposed of on site per an approved disposal plan. Quite often this is the most prudent method as it keeps the treated soil on site and eliminates any possible liability from off site.

Again, in every case where the HydroPro process was utilized the results showed that all of the treated soil could be placed back in the original excavation with no soil or groundwater impacts.

The HydroPro System will destroy the contaminants that impose economic hardships as well as long-term liabilities for clients. The process should also eliminate transportation liability, water discharge issues and long term permitting delays. Thus making this an extremely effective method for insitu remediation.

Your staff has done an excellent job developing this technology and it has been our pleasure to be working with you for the past few years on exciting projects such as this.
